What an amazing Lazy Sunday we have for you on January 31st! Grammy Award nominee Amy Wadge and young genius troubadour Luke Jackson.

Amy Wadge, is one of the UK’s most prolific contemporary songwriters.

Over recent years, she has accumulated numerous cuts with emerging artists such as Lewis Watson, (Warner), Shannon Saunders, (Caroline) and Cyril Hahn, (PMR). She is currently co-writing with both new and established talent alike including; Janelle Monáe, Birdy, Keith Urban, Ms. Dynamite, Aquilo, Zak Abel, Dua Lipa, Aston Merrygold, Mahalia, Thomas J Speight and many more.

Amy’s most notable success to date comes from her long established writing partnership with, Ed Sheeran.

Thinking Out Loud, was the third single from Ed’s second album, the triple Grammy nominated, X, (Multiply). It went to No. 1 in the UK chart in November 2014 after spending 19 weeks in the Top 40, breaking the record for the longest ever ascent to the peak position. The track went platinum later that month and returned to the No. 1 spot for a second time in December 2014. It also held the No. 1 position for five weeks in Australia where it achieved triple platinum sales as well as topping the charts in many other territories.

Luke is a young Roots Singer/Songwriter from Canterbury, Kent, who in 2013 was nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards for both the Horizon Award for Best Emerging Talent and The Young Folk Category. With a bold, distinctive voice and a sweet, percussive guitar style, Luke is a confident and captivating live performer. He was also winner of Fatea’s “Male Artist of the Year 2014”

Over the past few years he has steadily been developing a reputation for himself in the Folk & Roots circuits either through his solo shows, many festival appearances or when opening for such luminaries as Show of Hands, Steve Knightley, Martyn Joseph, Karine Polwart, Oysterband, Paul Brady, Glen Tilbrook, Sarah Jarosz and Lucy Ward

He has also completed two short tours of Scotland, which this year included playing at both the highly regarded Belladrum and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
